Inside my Life Working with People Outside of Themselves: The Fear Factor

My work as a private meditation coach unveils a world of intricate human emotions, fears, and transformative growth. As clients seek solace in mindfulness and inner connection, they usually bring awareness to their deepest fears and challenges. Which I am always very happy about, even if they aren’t. If we can see it, then the healing progress. comes into conscious awareness. I can help to process it into something positive, inspiring and meaningful that they can build the future on.

One of the most prevalent fears is the fear of the unknown - a fear of what lies beneath the surface of their thoughts when silence prevails. The silence that comes when they have the courage to stop and consider their avoidance tactics and emotional crutches. Guiding individuals through this temporary unease, their strength always emerges in the comfort of the subconscious, allowing them to confront innermost anxieties, heartbreaks and desires, leading to breakthroughs that redefine their emotional landscapes. I strongly believe in the power of the pause. Especially when overlaid with the under-used subconscious mind, not to mention the revelations of the relaxed energetic body when we temporarily leave behind the weight of physical existence.

Challenges emerge as hurdles to inner and outer balance; racing thoughts, the tug of distractions, de-prioritisation of self, and the paradoxical desire for immediate results stemming from the quick fix culture in todays society. Assisting clients in embracing these challenges has taught me that the skills of patience and self-compassion are the keys to their sustainable progress. Skills which have become very difficult for people because of the increasing speed of life and reduction of attention spans; relentless media updates, informational overload, consumerism on speed and the psychological footprint and impact of social media. The latter is something I am especially interested in after a lengthly career in digital content advertising, I now have a chance to untangle, and to some degree redeem, my own past when I was building that industry from its conception.

It's in acknowledging these hurdles of self-compassion and patience that the true power of meditation, higher consciousness and energy work unveil themselves - the power to create a serene internal space of learning and growth amidst life's external chaos. Learning to become fluid like water, to build inner quiet power and resilience, and grow in confidence in emotional processing. To connect the heart.

Perhaps the most remarkable facet of this odyssey is the emotional transformation that meditation and energy work can ignite. From shattered self-esteem to blossoming self-love, from entangled resentment to liberated forgiveness, from overwhelm and bombardment to peace and equilibrium - these metamorphoses are the heartbeats of my profession. Witnessing individuals sculpt a profound connection with themselves, and consequently with the world around them, is an immeasurable privilege. Setting their soul on fire to be a positive ripple effect at a time the world needs it most. Guiding them to remember who they really are under layers of societal conditioning and cultural ‘norms’. Unleashing authenticity.

Through this lens, my work is interwoven with the threads of vulnerability, resilience, and growth. Together, clients and I walk through uncharted territories of their heart and soul; connecting the energetic body. As they learn that the path to progress is an intimate exploration of their own fears, the identification of desires, and the conquering of challenges from a newly formed peaceful inner power source. And after the tears and the emotional releases, you’ll be glad to hear the happy part begins - it’s not all about difficulties and fears after all. The game-changers that keep people hooked in a healthy way, that build personal habitual meditation and holistic practices: the emergence of the power of the joyful, creative authentic self and a meaningful life lived in alignment, and most of all, above all else - in personal sovereignty.
